Work/Life Benefits

Taking care of the family.

We know it’s hard to come care for others unless you have reliable, affordable care arranged for your children. Methodist Healthcare has paid your annual registration fee for SitterCity, a nationwide network of babysitters, nannies, senior care workers, pet sitters and even housekeepers and tutors. Most of our departments also have experienced parents and caregivers who can network with you to find the assistance you need.

Adopting to make your family complete.

Methodist honors your decision to adopt a child – it’s one of the deepest commitments you can make. Our adoption reimbursement program contributes to many of the legal and ancillary costs incurred in this precious life choice.

Accumulate time off.

Methodist Healthcare offers a Paid Time Off (PTO) bank that includes vacation, holidays and sick time. You will accrue hours every pay period based on authorized hours worked, earning as much as 22.33 days per year. Your PTO can be cashed in at certain times of the year at a value of 90 percent of their base rate.

Work clothes.

We wear special clothes to work and find the most creative ways to personalize scrubs and other uniforms. Methodist Healthcare offers discounts on uniforms, shoes and other things you need for your job.

Talk, text and surf.

We’ve made arrangements for you to realize serious discounts with several wireless telecommunications services, happy to make life less expensive for our smart phone and cell using employees.

Save money on lots of stuff.

As one of San Antonio’s largest employers, we have found other services and products you can obtain at a special Methodist Healthcare discount. We don’t endorse any of these providers or products, but we’re happy to pass savings along to you.
