We are seeking nurses for our HelotesFree StandingEmergency Room. Methodist ER Helotes opened Spring 2021 to serve the Far Northwest and surrounding areas with our 24/7 freestanding emergency center. This 7,029 square foot facility includes 7 all-private treatment rooms and a full range of services such as radiology, a full-service laboratory and telemetry. We offer the benefit of immediate intervention for emergencies where treatment time is critical, including 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases. Our compassionate team of medical professionals work to stabilize critical patients and transport, should they need hospitalization, to a Methodist hospital in San Antonio. Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs
Carry out physician orders
Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients
Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
Instruct and educate patients and families.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureatedegree nursing program
Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License(Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN Licensewithin 90 days of hire date)
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
BSN preferred
