Critical assessment and management of critical illness and extensive collaboration with critical care doctors with different specialties

About the Medical ICU:
24 bed Intensive Care Unit
Caring for non-trauma, high acuity medical and surgical patients including interventions such as CABG, Impella and SLED
The physicians are highly engaged and provide 24/7 coverage
1:1 mentorship with supportive, experienced staff
Many opportunities and educational resources including national certification support, tuition reimbursement and clinical ladder advancement
Includes management of acute and chronic respiratory failure, kidney failure, DKA, and other acute events, including Sepsis and COVID-19
Active multidisciplinary Team rounding and engaging staffing in the identification of safe and efficient care

What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required.
Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
At least 2+ years of RN experience in a Critical Care setting preferred
