Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Nurse Manager of Endoscopy for Methodist Hospital who will plan, direct and supervise the day to day operations of the Endoscopy Center, which includes but no limited to; management of staff, budgeting, equipment and services for these areas. Responsible for the quality of services, process improvements, and maintaining high standards of customer service for both internal and external customers including physicians and their staff, patients/family members and the public.. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Participates in the planning, development and management of operational and equipment budgets annually. Provides financial variance analysis reports in a timely manner. Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures according to budget limitations. Manages the ongoing implementation of approved plans.
  • Develops staffing plans to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Proactively determines staffing and hiring needs and plans accordingly. Maintains payroll and ensures timely reporting. Calculates and monitors productivity, modifies staffing when necessary, and adjusts schedules to enhance efficiency.
  • Meets yearly budgets. Assists the Director of Ancillary Nursing Services in evaluating and projecting payroll, equipment, and supply costs for all areas supervised. Assists the Senior Director Ancillary Nursing Services with researching and evaluating all equipment purchases to ensure alignment with departmental budget and continuous delivery and improvement of services.
  • Responsible for actively pursuing knowledge and ensuring compliance with JCAHO and all other regulatory bodies.
  • Promotes the Endoscopy Center Service line by interacting with key customers such as patients/families, physicians, physician’s offices, and other system or facility departments assuring that their needs are met. Promotes a positive image of the Endoscopy Center.
  • Manages assigned staff and provides support, training and tools necessary for to achieve their job and meet the department’s quality service goal. Develops staff through feedbacks, coaching, training, mentoring and maintains staff records competencies to ensures that all team members meet or exceed department specific, educational requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of a nursing program required.
  • Diploma, associate degree required; baccalaureate program preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
