Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Storeroom Clerk you will perform all duties necessary to execute the purchasing/receiving procedures for the department. You may place orders, sign requisitions and invoices verifying receipt of products. As a Store Room Clerk you will maintain inventory for orders and stock levels. You will maintain storage areas to include freezers, refrigerators, and storeroom in a clean, orderly manner and fill orders for other departments.
What will you do in this role:
- Receives and stocks all food and non-food products. routine purchasing according to standard operating procedures.
- Assists in maintaining quality control of products/equipment received and oversees the corrections and deficiencies of products/equipment from a purveyor. Processes invoices by verifying quantity received.
- Recommends amounts for reorder for minimum stock levels.
- Inventories items upon receipt and checks for accuracy with invoice or requisition. Relates information to the Purchasing Coordinator.
- Maintains storerooms for orderliness, cleanliness and safety.
- Completes monthly reports to include the monthly physical inventory, and issues to floors and departments.
What qualifications you will need:
- 1 year Storeroom experience desirable
- Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
