Coordinator Plans, implements and facilitates Methodist Healthcare System (MHS) performance improvement activities

 

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates development and implementation of the MHS Performance Improvement Plan and Appraisal.
  • Develops and implements plans for data collection, analysis and reporting of departmental, facility, organization and disease specific performance measurement/assessment activities. Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences
  • Plans and directs the Performance Improvement process in collaboration with department heads/representatives throughout MHS. Provides just-in-time education as required. Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
  • Leads and facilitates Root Cause Analysis as necessary of sentinel events/unanticipated outcomes and facilitates the implementation and follow-up monitoring of risk reduction strategies for designated facility and/or MHS.
  • Coordinates peer review process for assigned medical staff services, including provision of physician-specific and aggregate data for reappointment and ongoing assessment. Provides roll-up report for MEC at designated facility.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor is Degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field with clinical background.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of hospital Quality Management experience is required.
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
    • Preferred: Current Texas Licensure as an RN or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred
