Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Food and Nutrition Service Worker - Host you will assemble, deliver and retrieve patient, physician and customer food service meals and nourishments. You will possess knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards and regulations.
What you will do in this role:
- As a Food and Nutrition Service Worker - Host you will examine diet orders and menus received from patients and prepare a tally of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.
- You will understand modified diets, resources for non-typical modified diets, tube feeding/baby formula diet order handling and preparation.
- You will interact with patient and caregivers, providing optimum service without compromising dietary restrictions and production demands.
- As a Food and Nutrition Service Worker - Host you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of time sensitive aspects of patient, physician and customer meal service.
- You will demonstrate a clear understanding of HACCP regulation regarding proper sanitation in washing hands, changing gloves and use of sanitized water.
- You will setup and clean physician lounge related to food and nutrition services.
What qualifications you will need:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience
- Hospital Food Service or Customer Service Experience required
- Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
