Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Division Administrative Director of Operations, for Methodist Healthcare System, who reports to the Chief Officer and/or Vice President over respective area/units. The Admin Director is responsible for the management of the areas/units in the department under his/her direction. She/he is responsible 24 hours a day, with full accountability, for the staffing and management of units/areas under scope of management. The Admin Director will also be responsible for the acquisition, development, and utilization of resources (human and material) needed to fulfill those responsibilities. She/he acts as a liaison between physicians and the patient care team and works cooperatively with administrators, physicians, staff, other managers and all customers of the Methodist Healthcare System to provide services, which consistently meet and exceed the expectations of their customers. This is accomplished by assessing and prioritizing opportunities to improve, plan and implement effective changes and evaluate outcomes of process improvement activities. What you will do in this role:
- Builds and maintains a high functioning team for multiple areas under span of control.
- Directs all functions to include interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, evaluating performance, recommendations for personnel actions, and motivation of employees to achieve peak performance. Is responsible for meeting unit productivity targets.
- Responsible for large projects and/or system project participation at the facility level or system level. (HCAHPS), Interdepartmental survey results or Turnover)
- Responsible for organizing, directing, teaching and evaluating total operations within area of responsibility, including ensuring adequate staffing.
- Participates in the planning, development and management of operational and equipment budgets for multiple units/areas within their facility. Provides financial variance analysis reports in a timely manner. Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures according to budget limitations.
- Anticipates the purchase or replacement of equipment with input from staff and physicians. Implements the equipment purchase process. Anticipates and recommends needs for added space and needed services not provided by the organization.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor in working discipline
- Three years recent Managerial/Director Experience over multiple units.
- Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
- Preferred: Masters. ADMIN DIRECTOR level experience; Experience with successful Performance Improvement and Service Excellence initiatives highly desirable.
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
- Must have current license/ certification required by specialty
