Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Anesthesia Technician, you will be an important member of the perioperative team and will collaborate with the circulating RN and OR team to ensure a safe and optimal patient experience. You will anticipate anesthesia needs, maintain stock levels, set up supplies and equipment, clean equipment and ensure equipment operation and maintenance.
What you will do in this role:
- You will anticipate the needs of the licensed anesthetist for regional, epidural and spinal blocks and the induction of general anesthesia
- You will operate and troubleshoot anesthesia delivery systems, monitors and ancillary devices
- You will set up and prepare supplies and equipment for invasive line monitoring
- You will maintain designated levels of anesthesia supplies and ensure carts are stocked with immediate use items used for procedures
- You will ensure utilized equipment is appropriately stored and in proper working order prior to use and perform basic equipment troubleshooting as necessary
- You will clean, disinfect, sterilize and ensure availability of utilized anesthesia equipment
What Qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program preferred
- One year experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
TCA Special Surgery Center is
located in the Texas Center for Athletes, in San Antonio, Texas. We perform over 350 cases a
month. Our Specialties are in orthopedic surgery, hand surgery, ENT, neurotology, podiatry, and plastic
surgery. Our center located and near I-10 and highway 410 and 1604. We are a member
of HCA Healthcare's Ambulatory Surgery Division.
