To provide standardization and uniformity in the electronic repair and inspection of all equipment repaired by the Facilities Management Department. The Electronic Equipment Technician is charged to perform, but not limited to quality maintenance services, scheduled and unscheduled, for all related equipment selected by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including submitting Purchase Order Requests and properly documenting all Preventive Maintenance / repairs. Performance as an Electronic Equipment Technician requires a high degree of communications ability. The Electronic Equipment Technician must be able to inter-act with other department employees, clinical staff including nurses and physicians, ancillary staff, patients, visitors, and outside vendors. Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Management supervisor and/or at the request to a related electronic system failure the EET Specialist will perform all previously mentioned duties but not exclusively limited to these duties. To perform these duties the Electronic Equipment Technician will be asked to report to any of the medical center MHS facilities at the discretion of the Facilities Management supervision for equipment breakdowns as needed. In order for the Facilities Management Department to accomplish these duties after hours, technicians may be assigned to call duty to ensure response Services support twenty-fours a day.
