Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Nurse Manager of Patient Placement at Methodist Healthcare System who is Responsible for daily operations of the Patient Placement Center. Works closely with Methodist Healthcare System (MHS) medical staff, administrators, department directors, nursing staff and outlying facilities and their physicians to coordinate appropriate placement of patients within the system (and hospitals) in a timely manner. Responsible for leading, accountability, organizing and inspiring member of the patient placement team. What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Builds and maintains a high functioning patient placement team. Ensures all team members work together to assure all aspects of patient placement occur in an organized and timely manner. Develops standards of performance, conduct annual performance evaluations and make recommendations for HR actions.
- Responsible for the 24 hour, day-to-day operations of the Patient Management Center. Responsible for staff scheduling to assure needs of the department are met. Responds promptly to changes in workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to achieve optimal service and efficiency. Oversees and coordinates successful transfer and bed placement of all patients.
- Provide structure and accountability through regularly scheduled staff meetings, data QA, call recording QA and Transfer Center Software documentation.
- Monitors and communicates through put metrics and patient management data analysis to MHS and Facility Leadership.
- Responsible for ensuring cooperation and positive interaction between the Patient Management Center and physicians, nursing leaders and nursing staff.
- Works cooperatively with Executive Leaders to communicate issues of concern and processes to optimize patient through put.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Five (5) years RN direct patient care experience
- Two (2) years’ as a RN Clinical Manager and/or supervisory experience required.
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required
- RN License to practice professional registered nursing in the state of Texas.
