Qualifications

Qualifications 

    • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program

    • Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)

    • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
    • BSN preferred

Patient populations commonly served:

¨ General Medical: Asthma, COPD, DKA, ESRD, GI Bleed, MSOD, Pancreatitis, Sepsis, alcohol/substance withdrawal and Respiratory Failure, PE,

    Prismaflex CRRT delivery for AKI, seizure management.

¨ Cardiovascular: ACS, Dysrhythmias, CABG surgery, valve replacements, wedge resections, VATS, CEA’s, fem-pops, AAA Repair, Impella, IABP management

¨ Neurosurgical: Stroke management, SAH, SDH, Transphenoidal pituitary and tumor resections, SIADH and DI management, EVD management, ICP monitoring, craniotomy  management and lumbar drain management.

¨ General Surgery:  Multiple service lines

 

Shifts, Ratios and Scheduling:

¨ Modified self-scheduling of 12 hour shifts, to improve work-life balance

¨ ICU maintains 1-3 RN to patient ration, based  upon level of acuity
