We are seeking nurses for our Emergency Room at Methodist Converse Emergency Center to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Our Registered Nurses have access to a variety of resources to help you reach your goals including:
Critical factors to your success include:
Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs
Carry out physician orders
Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients
Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
Instruct and educate patients and families.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program
Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
Methodist Converse Emergency Center, a department of Northeast Methodist Hospital, will open this fall to serve the Converse and surrounding area with our 24/7 freestanding emergency center. The most common complaints among patients visiting our emergency centers are: chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, extremity injuries, fever, motor vehicle accidents, back pain, pregnancy complaints, skin infections, animal bites, pediatric illness and lacerations. Our compassionate team of medical professionals work to stabilize critical patients experiencing: acute myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, stroke, subarachnoid bleed, trauma (including amputations), overdose, spinal cord injuries, cardiac arrhythmias, seizures, pulmonary embolus and pneumothorax. After stabilization, patients are transported to a Methodist hospital in San Antonio.
