As a Market Medical Staff Manager, you will coordinate the credentialing for the facilities in your market.  You will be responsible for the coordination of the credentialing program activities in conjunction with the ambulatory surgery division management team.  In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the facility and the Centralized Processing Center (CPC) on processes pertaining to initial appointment, reappointment and clinical privileging while managing the Medical Staff Coordinators in your market. 


What you will do in this role:

  • You will develop facility credentialing policies in accordance with accreditation and regulatory standards while serving as the subject matter expert to your market. 
  • You will provide training and drive employee engagement with your team. 
  • You will facilitate medical staff meetings with the facilities (develop agendas, maintain meeting minutes, coordinate follow-up, etc.) working closely with your Medical Directors, facility Administrators, and the Vice President of Operations.
  • You will educate your Administrators and other Surgery Center leadership on the CPC and Market Credentialing operations, privileging (including temporary and disaster privileging), HCIRs, and non-privileged practitioner credentialing.
  • Respond to any reviews accreditation and regulatory compliance deficiencies by developing and implementing corrective action plans, in conjunction with the Risk Manager.
  • You will ensure coordination with the facility Administrator or designee to facilitate focused professional practice evaluation (FPPE) and ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE).
  • Ensure facility leadership in your centers conduct internal and external peer reviews, as applicable.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement
  • CPCS and/or CPMSM Credentialing Certification preferred within first 12-months of employment.

*to be eligible for CPCS you must be currently employed in a medical services profession for at least the past 12 consecutive months and have a total of three(3) years experience within the pat five(5) years. 

**to be elgible for the CPMSM you must be currently employed in a medical services profession for at least the past 12 consecutive months and have a total of five (5) years experience within the pat eight (8) years.
