Seeking a RN Quality Program Coordinator for the ED to join our team who will be responsible for performing concurrent and retrospective review of patient records in order to evaluate/report on compliance of core measure performance, risk audits, and premium credit. Interacts with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to develop audit tools to evaluate trends which affect safety/compliance outcomes. The Quality/Risk Nurse must be knowledgeable on Federal, State, and TJC Standards and must use their clinical expertise to drive quality/risk improvement processes within the Emergency Department. The Quality/Risk Nurse will play a key role assisting the Director with addressing grievances and incident reports pertaining to care provided within the Emergency Department. 

What you will do in this role:  
  • Maintains an accurate knowledge base of the Core Measures and the outcomes to be achieved. Ensures compliance of all staff and physicians.
  • Performs all risk audits within the Emergency Department. This includes (but not limited to) Sullivan audits, triage accuracy, and reassessment audits.
  • Will assist the Director to manage and update all performance measures related to the ED Dashboard, e-Mar scanning, and T-System.
  • Will be responsible for assisting the Director with the patient grievance process. This includes investigating the issues, designing action plans, and formal communications in a timely manner.
  • Will assist the Director to review/research and respond to Meditech patient and non-patient incident reports. This will include investigating the issues and responding in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that EMTALA logs are complete, up-to-date- and accurate on a daily basis.




  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or accredited medical school. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 


  • Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine clinical experience.
