We are seeking a Manager of Outpatient Behavioral Health Methodist Hospital – Specialty & Transplant.  This position oversees the operations of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates the services of the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. Coordinates and acts as the liaison between assigned program areas and division management. Communicates and initiates established policies and procedures, while monitoring program activities and their effectiveness. Advises staff in clinical professional and/or administrative matters, as well as plans and oversees the proper orientation, training, development and supervision of all assigned program staff. Utilizes behavioral and physical techniques in emergency situations, to prevent injury to patients, staff and others. What You Will Do In Your Role:

 

  • Plans, directs and coordinates all operational activities for areas of responsibility.
  • Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. 
  • Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff.
  • Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities in department and multidisciplinary.  
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate Human Resources are available in areas of responsibility.  
  • Responsible for maintaining acceptable turnover in areas of responsibility.  Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines.  
  • Facilitates positive productive relationships with physicians.  
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, local and other agencies (i.e, JCAHO, Medicare, CMS).
  • Serves as Social Worker Lead for the inpatient program to provide monitoring and oversight of the quality of social work services in accordance with CMS guidelines.

 

 

Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting required.
  • Current TX Social Worker or Counselor Licernse.
