Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are in search of a Clinical Director to oversee what will be the newest member to the ASD family, Methodist Surgery Center Landmark. The center is currently under construction and will be a state of the art surgery center with 5 operating rooms. The center will be open in 2021 and we are actively interviewing for the Administrator role now. 

In your role as Clinical Director you will provide clinical management and expertise to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care in your center.  You will provide support to our operating room nurses, preop nurses, PACU nurses, surgical technicians and sterile processing staff by committing to the care and improvement of human life.  As a Clinical Director, you will have the opportunity for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.

What you will do in this role:

• You will manage and supervise all areas of nursing care
• Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator
• You will ensure that the day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center
• Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes in a timely manner
• You will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided
• Accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages
• Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided for each case in advance
• You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• You will delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with your team
• Ability to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership and participation skills

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nursing or related field
• Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement
• Minimum (3) years direct experience or related experience
• Experience in outpatient healthcare operations or similar service environments preferred
