What You Will Do In Your Role:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is an integral part of the health care team. The Licensed Vocational Nurse performs those functions assigned and supervised by the Registered Professional Nurse (RN). The LVN will be assigned to care for patients with multiple needs under the supervision of a RN. (See addendum #1 for OB-LVN duties.) All GVN’s or LVN’s hired into the Methodist Healthcare System will be expected to complete the IV class within 60 days of hire.

Our maternal newborn center has been recognized with a Level I Maternal & Neonatal designation and participates in the TexasAIM, Baby Friendly and Texas 10 Step programs. Acute care services include our Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, 3 Operating Rooms and an Endoscopy suite. Diagnostic and outpatient services include Tele-Neurology, Imaging, Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary and Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapies.
