Seeking a Bariatric Services Coordinator to join our team who will plans, organizes, implements and directs the day to day functions of the Bariatric Clinic and its programs and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 
What you will do in this role:
 
  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Bariatric Clinic or delegation of Bariatric Clinic activities with oversight to include, but not limited to intake of new patient referrals, patient appointment reminders, daily chart prep, entering patient charges, end of day close-out of patient charts with transfer of patient records to hospital medical record department.
  • Coordinates, organizes and assists with marketing of bariatric program events to include, but not limited to bariatric seminars, bariatric support group and community outreach events.
  • Responsible for development and utilization of appropriate forms for the documentation of care and services conducted in the Bariatric Clinic.
  • Oversees the activities of the Bariatric Clinic Abstractor known as the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgical Clinical Registrar (MBSCR).
  • Maintains inventory and ordering of office supplies and central supplies as well as patient education materials and marketing materials for the clinic.
  • Partners with Bariatric Manager and Director of Bariatric Services to assure ongoing regulatory compliance with all accrediting agencies and assure completion of insurance surveys as indicated. Prepares and conducts meetings in compliance with MBSaQIP accreditation standards. Communicates with Physicians and Medical Staff Services to ensure bariatric program physician compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Contribute to identification of strategies for growth and execute plans to achieve growth goals.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or graduate from an accredited school of nursing 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of two years experience in a clinic environment.
