We are seeking a Division AVP of Cardiac, Vascular, Pulmonary, Thoracic Services for Methodist Healthcare System.  The Division Assistant Vice President of CVPT Service Lines provides leadership and management in the implementation and execution of initiatives that support the service line growth initiatives, ensure physician engagement, continued recruitment, financial analysis, clinical program development, clinical excellence, capital planning and identification and development of best practices. The DAVP Service Lines will works collaboratively with Division VP Service lines, physicians and system leaders to assist in development  and execution of  an aligned Service Line Strategic Plan, and with the VP of Marketing to coordinate marketing efforts for MHS’ Service Lines.  We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Supports Division VP of Service lines in formulating strategic direction for Service Lines across Methodist Healthcare system, by participating in developing and implementing business plans to support the continued growth, financial and clinical outcome success of the system.
  • Actively participates in the support of a cohesive organizational and governance structure that supports the hospitals, providing operational oversight for service line clinical activities and programs.
  • Ensures effectiveness of current services, and supports strategic initiatives of service line quality, growth and financial outcomes through collaborative work groups and project management
  • Collaborates and builds relationships with various departments and managers within the hospitals.
  • Engages and supports service line researchers, physicians, and surgeons, and Facility clinical leadership CMO’s, CNO’s, VPQ’s to ensure service line clinical program growth and outcomes across division-wide service lines
  • Supports and assists in implementation of programs that promote the mission of the service line and the Division to improve the health of the communities served.
  • Works collaboratively with facility executive leadership and other key stakeholders to develop, document, and coordinate long-range strategies and plans for services, facilities and operations of the organization.
  • Works with Decision Support to obtain and analyze data regarding service line performance, growth, and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health administration, business, or related field of study required. Master’s Degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience leading business development, operations management, and/or financial/strategic planning for a clinical or program of service line. 
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience is a decided plus, with 3 additional years in program development.
