Seeking a Scheduling Staffing Coordinator to join our team who will be responsible for leading and managing the successful system wide use of the Scheduling System and special. The position requires a working knowledge of scheduling and staffing management, policy and procedure development and working knowledge of departmental, hospital, and system operations.

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Promotes, implements, maintains and supports use of the Scheduling System and related systems for all departments in MHS hospitals.

Functions include:

  • Employee Database (Interface with HR system)
  • Staff Scheduling
  • Daily Staffing (Interface with time and attendance system)
  • Management Reporting
  • Works effectively with Information Services, Human Resources, other departments and the vendor's representative(s) to maximize system automation. Coordinates and implements hardware and software upgrades.
  • Develops and maintains system policies with input by key constituent groups for maximum Scheduling system utilization.
  • Communicates with all levels of management regarding the Scheduling System systems functions, features, applications and usage.
  • Provides ongoing and new manager user education and training on the Scheduling System
  • Develops mechanisms for approval and facilitates manager requests for information and additional functionality of the system.
  • Supervises data collection. Assures the ongoing integrity of the data within the Scheduling System through the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, monitoring processes, QI/Quality Control.

 

Qualifications:

 Education:

 

  • High school/ GED
  • One year previous experience in an administrative support role
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills/Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc
  • College degree (AD, BS, BA) in management, healthcare, Human Resources or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience with a staffing system or large databases preferred.
