Seeking a Speech Therapist Supervisor to join our team.  As the Rehab Supervisor you will assist the Director and Manager and ensures that the care of his/her designated area is provided in accordance with the standards of care of the organization and meets the requirements or regulations of JACHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and appropriate licensing or certified boards.  The supervisor is responsible for quality of therapy service provided to patients and other customers.
 
What you will do in this role:
  • Provides patient care in accordance with the guidelines set forth for a therapist in the specific discipline of the supervisor.
  • Ensures Compliancy with the conditions of participation, requirements or regulations of the following:  JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, Texas State Licensures, and Certification as required.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of his/her designated area with consideration given to staffing levels, customer service, quality service and staff satisfaction.
  • Assists Director by recommendations regarding appropriate space, facilities, equipment, supplies required for optimal patient care.
  • Assists Director with managing personnel to include interviewing, work allocation, orientation, and training, staff development, problem resolution, payroll, evaluating performance, making recommendations for personnel actions and motivating employees to achieve peak performance.  Assumes responsibility for his/her employees’ output and conduct.
  • Contributes to the department’s objectives by facilitating change and managing conflict by assessing situations, considering alternative to foster an environment of fairness, teamwork quality and safety.  

Qualifications

Education: 
  • BS degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
Experience: 
  • Prefer 3 years or more clinical experience. 
  • Experience in TQM/CQI is recommended.  
  • Membership in professional organization is desirable.
License:
  • Licensed Therapist in the State of Texas
