We are seeking a Director of Support Services for South Texas Radiology Center.

Responsible in maintaining a high standard of work in the scheduling call center and insurance verification departments, which include efficient operation of assigned department, instruction and assignment monitoring.  Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

Manages personnel to include interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, evaluating performance, making recommendations for personnel actions, and motivating employees to achieve peak performance. Is responsible for their employee’s output conducts feedbacks of supervised employees in a timely manner.

Participates in the planning, development and implementation of strategy for departmental development and will monitor, measure and report achievements within agreed formats and timelines.

Design and develop action plans to improve call center and insurance performance by managing metrics, performance criteria, policies and procedures to continuously improve call center productivity.

Responsible for the oversight of providing benefit verification and prior authorization functions with insurance carriers to ensure optimal reimbursement.

Assists with investigating, and reducing reimbursement issues related to insurance authorizations denials and develop action plans to resolve trends of payor related issues involving prior authorizations.

Maintains knowledge of various health plan benefits, networks, CMS regulations and health plan partner policies to ensure proper utilization of resources are allocated for obtaining prior authorizations.

Think creatively and strategically as part of STRICs’ leadership team to move the support services departments toward a more customer-service oriented culture. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Views work situations from a broad context and understand the complementary, interdependent nature of work process. Assesses the impact and implications of decisions on other components of the organization and determines the effects of one’s individual work within this broad context. Communicates with other managers and directors any decisions, which may impact other sections of the organization.

Ensures efficient workflow in the section by getting patients started on time and keeping room turnaround time to a minimum. Organizes work in such a way that the structure responds quickly to changes in workload. 

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • 3 years Call Center Management experience with leading call center operations.
  • Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit, which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; 3 years of medical insurance experience (prior authorization, benefit verification, ICD-10, or CPT)
