Seeking a Transplant Provider Analyst to join our team. The Transplant Provider Analyst is responsible for Pre-Transplant Provider Claim & Global Provider Claim Adjudication. Responsible for acting as a liason between the Transplant Financial Department, Providers, Contract Coordinator, Transplant Clinic and Accounts Payable.  Oversight of claims process and issues from Global, Pre-Transplant & Donor Complications.  Responsible for tracking and reporting accruals for the accounting department and researching provider claim questions. Additional duties include assisting with revenue cycle and Medicare cost report activities.
What you will do in this role:
  • Must be able to understand general ledger for proper expensing of accounts payable in order to help with month-end reporting
  • Processes UB04, HCFA and submitted expenses for provider claim adjudication. Knowledge of hospital and professional billing standards. Ensure incoming claims are documented and filed daily for timely processing
  • Familiar with MCR payment guidelines which includes CPT, HCPCs for diagnostic testing, surgery and labs.  Responsible for investigating procedure codes for claims payment.
  • Facilitate donor complication billing and provide billing information to the providers. Researches vendor contracts and addresses inquiries regarding possible errors with processed claims.
  • Keeps accurate records of claims denials, processed claims, and accruals for accounting.  Knowledge of excel and proficient with formulas and data entry.
  • Assist in maintaining up to date and accurate pre-transplant provider contracts. Works with the contact coordinator to initiate new agreements including one time agreements as needed.
  • Proficient in understanding the phases associated with Global Reimbursement and Global Contracts.  Ensures Global provider claims are processed according to contract.
  • Ability to conduct research in a variety of systems for appropriate payment of provider claims and research of patient billing issues in both clinical and revenue cycle systems utilized for transplant.
  • Understands how to extract data from financial supporting systems.
  • Cross-trained for assisting in other financial roles within the transplant department.  


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business or Science or 8 years of experience in a healthcare related field.        
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in revenue cycle and/or   transplant operations.
