We are seeking a Director of Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic for Methodist Hospital. The Director of BMT is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program.  He/she executes sound, clinical business strategy promoting service, relationships, and volume; responsible for meeting internal requirements as set forth by transplant steering committee as well as meeting external requirements regarding transplant services as defined by The Joint Commission, Medicare and Medicaid.  He/she works closely with physicians to ensure high quality services are provided by the program.  We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Provides leadership and oversight for Clinical Supervisors, ensuring the proper tools, resources, and environment to carry out their responsibilities, including operating within compliance of, Medicare, and UNOS regulations. 
  • Develops and oversees an adequate recruitment, training, education and competency program for staff. 
  • Develops with Clinical Supervisors adequate QA/PI plans for each respective area and holding Supervisors accountable for ensuring that plans, goals, and targets are achieved; serves as content expert on policies and procedures where appropriate. 
  • Achieves and maintains high standards of patient and referring physician satisfaction in regards to clinical program and responds accordingly when complaints arise. 
  • Works effectively with program Medical Director, ensuring strong lines of communication and follow-up, and jointly addressing and resolving issues proactively as they are identified. 
  • Increases transplant revenue and profitability by growing clinic and wait list volumes and spin-off activity. 

 

 

Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

Education:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Two years RN direct care experience in transplant services.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Five years or more experience in transplant management/administration.

Minimum License and Certificates Required:

  •  Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
  • Must have Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
