Seeking an Equipment Tech to join our team who will make sure patient equipment is cleaned and made available to use for patient care. The equipment technician’s job responsibilities also consist of coordinating equipment repair or preventative maintenance with the Biomedical Services Department. The equipment technician will organize the equipment and supplies storage areas. The equipment technician will order patient supplies and forms using the available ordering systems. The equipment technician will inventory the department’s equipment and fixed assets.


What you will do in this role:


  • Cleans patient equipment utilizing appropriate disinfecting/sterilization mechanisms and personal protective equipment guidelines established per hospital policies.


  • Organizes, stocks, and keeps storage areas clean.


  • Monitors and maintains the proper supply inventories for the department to include medical supplies, office supplies, formula and patient forms, as needed. Stocks the patient bedside storage areas.


  • Inventories capital (stationary) equipment or fixed assets owned by department, annually. Also, maintains appropriate equipment availability and orders rental equipment when necessary. Inventories (portable) and rental patient equipment, daily or as needed.


  •  Supports the Newborn ICU supervisors and staff by assisting with taking clean equipment and supplies to appropriate areas and removing dirty equipment for cleaning and storage.


  • Coordinates and submits work order requests for equipment and maintenance repairs. Assures that the equipment is delivered to and returned from the Biomedical Services Department, as needed.





1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.


Must have over 7 years experience in a related job or equal on the job training.
