We are looking for a motivated, self-directed nurse to be our CABG Quality & Safety Coordinator. This nurse will review all CABG candidates and coordinate a heart team review, ensure critical care components from pre-surgical to post-discharge are met, facilitate gathering and review of the data specific to CABG patients, managing the STS National registry for CABG patients, synthesize the data and outcomes of the program and initiate appropriate process improvement projects to address program gaps. You’ll work with nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff across the continuum of the care required for our CABG patients. This is a great transition opportunity because you get to still visit the OR, be part of ICU rounding and conversations, check in with patients and families, but also learn to use the administrative skills and knowledge that you are developing.
