What you will do in this role:
- As a leader on the unit, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
- In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Two years of healthcare experience is required. BSN and 3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- AHA BLS required.
Neuro Surgical Unit Highlights:
- 20 bed unit with all private rooms
- Patient ratio 1:5
- This team cares for patients who have had strokes, seizers, and brain tumors. Our patients are monitored with cardiac monitoring, as well as every unit it the hospital.
- This team is strong, they understand the delicacy of the brain and the urgency needed for these patients and their families.
- Many of our nurses have continued to grow into the Quality team, Education, and NCCU.
