Methodist Hospital Hill Country, formerly Hill Country Memorial, was founded in 1971 as a small, rural hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas, with only 20 beds. Over the last fifty years, the hospital has grown into a comprehensive healthcare center, serving the Texas Hill Country area with a range of medical services, including emergency care, cardiology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics.
As part of the Methodist Healthcare family, the hospital provides a full network of connected care, while still offering the same individualized attention focused on developing close relationships with patients. We feel personally responsible for every life that begins here, and every life that is saved or enhanced in our system of remarkable care.
Methodist Healthcare System is a 50-50 partnership between the Methodist Healthcare Ministries (South Texas' largest non-public funding source of community health care) and HCA (the nation's leading provider of health care services).
For more than 50 years Methodist Healthcare has provided high quality care to patients from San Antonio, its 26 surrounding counties and around the world. Methodist Healthcare is recognized as the most respected and preferred health care provider in South Texas due to our outstanding team of nurses, medical professionals and physicians.
