Methodist Healthcare Ministries is San Antonio's largest non-public funding source for community health care. In addition to providing emergency and critical health services regardless of ability to pay, the system supports 30 community organizations and provides scholarships for students pursuing health care degrees. As the city's second largest private employer, Methodist Healthcare is able to make a significant impact in the community beyond its health care facilities and caregivers.

Methodist Healthcare System is committed to health promotion, wellness, prevention and treatment of diseases within the community. Because we care about the health of our patients, staff and guests, Methodist is a total tobacco-free work environment beginning November 18, 2010. We have partnered with the American Cancer Society to provide information and resources including the 1-800-YES-QUIT line.
